Some places I checked out or people told me about. Most of the restaurants are pretty americanized

Cafe

  • BLACK BOBA - This cafe will add a microdose of mushrooms to your elixir
  • Gustav Grün La Punta P.E. - I think the only place I could find a healthy meal
  • Malagua café - Café y Brunch en Zicatela, Puerto Escondido - A nice lunch and breakfast place, seems to be pretty popular.
  • Néctar: Hotel, Cafe, Cowork - This place was awesome, I worked , ate and did Yoga here. Really loved it
  • Sandala Café - Good reliable spot for morning and early afternoon work.
  • Sandala Café - Casual cafe with delicious breakfast and lunch, offering great fast internet and comfy atmosphere.
  • YAAB | Vegan Kitchen & Café - I was going there for a while for the acaai bowls

  • Casa Joseph Zicatela - Luxury hotel - I didn’t stay but looks nice and a bit off of the busy strip and on beach
  • Hotel Escondido - Beautiful hotel for happy hour cocktails and snacks.
  • Punta Pájaros Puerto Escondido - Beautiful and remote beach for a stroll.
  • Selina Puerto Escondido - Good coworking space. Probably too loud to take calls though
  • Xiqué Hotel Boutique - Boutique hotel

    • Restaurant

  • Fish Shack La Punta - Cozy alley restaurant serving fish tacos and fried fish sandwiches.
  • Glou Glou - I didnt go here but I wish I had, looks awesome
  • Mar & Wana - Open air nighttime hangout spot at the end of the main Zicatela strip, offering restaurant, bar, and club with tasty cocktail options and djs later in the night.
  • Mombasa - I think its kinda the default bar/club in town
  • Selma - Beach bar / restaurat
  • Smoke Shack La Punta - I wanted to hate on this place cause its pretty americanized, but it was tasty so i went back 2x
  • Xcaanda - There are lots of these little beach bars, but I liked this one cause it was quiet

  • Fundación Casa Wabi - Art foundation with artist residencies and social programs. You need a reservation in advance

    • Bar

  • Juana Mezcala - Get the carajillo drink or mezcal obvs
  • Sommo - I didnt eat here, but looked really nice from the outside
